Hair loss: People Do not Want It To Happen To Them
What can you do when it comes to loss of hair in and anywhere round Elfers
Many people lose hair each day, but most of it grows back. For many of us, we lose about a hundred strands of hair often. Hair is going to generally fall out and re-grow every twelve weeks or so and the growth cycle is about two to six years. You’ll find those people who lose their hair but virtually no new hair replaces them. This is becoming very common for many men and women these days.
Several of these people aren’t even aware they are losing some of their hair, until it is pointed out to them by people around them. If you feel you are losing your hair, you must be aware that there are different types of hair loss. One typical type occurs in both males and females and it is referred to as androgenetic alopecia or pattern baldness. This kind of baldness is genetic and its attributes are weakened strands of hair and slower growth of hair. Family history of pattern baldness increases the risk, and age is also a factor in the rate of hair loss.
Cicatricial alopecia or scarring alopecia is another permanent type of hair loss which is due to inflammation. Inflammation causes scarring in the hair roots which inhibits the hair from growing. The reason for inflammation in the scalp remains a mystery though a few skin disorders like lichen planus and lupus erythematosus can cause scarring alopecia. Another kind of hair loss is alopecia areata and it is thought to be an autoimmune disease. Though it’s also not known what triggers the condition, it’s still classified as such. Those who have alopecia areata seem to be very healthy although some think that it is brought on by another autoimmune disorder like a thyroid illness. It could also be genes or a certain virus that comes to the people when they spend too much time in an environment.
One more kind of hair loss is telogen effluvium which is due to a change in the regular hair cycle. Hair regrowth could be stopped prematurely because of an unexpected physical or emotional shock to the system. Extremely stress filled events like death in the family can result in telogen effluvium. Extreme physiological stress such as extreme weight gain or loss, severe illness or metabolic problems can result in abrupt hair loss.
Traction alopecia is a new kind of hair loss that’s been rising the last several decades. Extreme hairstyles are creating stress to the scalp which is causing significant hair loss. The constant pulling of the hair causes the roots to become fragile and hair is not able to grow again.
