Cosmetic solutions
When you notice that you can see all the way through what once was a thick layer of hair to your scalp, quite probably this is the time when you will start to look around your beauty salons and every convenience store for cosmetic and other products for hair loss.
The use of hair implants will indeed come up as one of the alternatives to other products for hair loss; it is up to you to decide whether you try on a cosmetic product for hair loss or venture down the dignified and yet, not so sexy, road of accepting your progressing baldness. However, many people find baldness sexy, so again, the choice is yours!
Amongst the many choices that are available in terms of products for hair loss, some are cosmetic and therefore, they are simple to use and they can be bought over the counter with the rest of your cosmetic products.
- “Hair building Fibres”
These products work just the same as the thickening eyelash mascara or other cosmetics along the same lines; it has small threads of fibreglass that adhere to the already existing hairs, providing the illusion of a thicker head of hair. These fibres will wash off with every shower or bath, and a new application of the cosmetic product for hair loss is required. They can come in lotions or sprays.
- Masking or covering lotions and dyes
These products for hair loss can be applied directly to the scalp to those places where you see less hair; this will break the obviousness of the scalp underneath the thinning patches of hair, allowing the illusion of more hair.
As with other similar cosmetic products for hair loss, these dyes might wash off in the first shower or bath and some others will last longer, slowly fading, so you will need to be attentive and apply on a regular basis.
- Hair toupees and wigs
One of the most-sought alternative products for hair loss, toupees and wigs are solely cosmetic. These products for hair loss will require some sort of specialized glue or other substance to attach this cosmetic cover firmly in place, as well as a periodical change or washing to keep it in optimal shape
Other cosmetic alternatives to battle or hide hair loss come in the form of shampoos, rinses, vitamins and even balms that are applied directly to the hair; repeated use is advised and it is stated that the user will slowly start to see improvements. Although, as with all cosmetic solutions, the results of these products for hair loss are only temporary.
